Leavers Ball...

"Well i've always had a wild imagination
and a see through heart"

- Last night brought about a fantastic event as myself and my friends celebrated two years of college at our leavers ball!
Having already experienced the whole 'sparkly tiara, ball gown, black tie' shenanagins at my high school leavers prom, this was somewhat a less fanciful and elaborate affair yet much more sophisticated.

I attended with my date for the night, my very own Stanford Blatch and it was rather odd celebrating the end of always being in education together from reception class, through infant and junior school, to high school and finally sixth form college.
After much deliberation within the last hour I decided to wear my leopard print dress, complete with a leopard print bow in my hair.
One of my english teachers even said to me
"Out of everyone, that is definitely something I would predict that you would wear".

I was originally going to wear a backless, magenta coloured dress from Lipsy which was very similar in style to this one but I figured that this dress was much more suitable for a night out afterwards.
It also meant that I could wear my super comfortable black wedges that I know can keep me upright for an entire night opposed to these
beautifully sparkly shoes that absolutley ruin my feet,
they look gorgeous but my gosh they cut your tootsies to shreds!

Hosted at the Royal Armouries in Leeds we were greeted with drinks on arrival and I have to say my eyes lit up as I scanned the room and found myself looking at a rather smiley man surrounded by false flames throwing cocktail shakers up in the air

It was well and truly Cosmo o'clock!

We had a lovely three course sit down meal followed by everyone heading to the dancefloor to the sound of Stevie Wonder's 'Superstition' played by the amazing in house band.
There was also a photobooth that myself and Ben could not be weened away from!
We even convinced our literature tutor to join in the madness!

In terms of makeup I wore my usual green smokey eye
with a dusky pink lip and wearing my old favourite foundation, MAC 'Studio Fix Fluid' in NC25 on my face.

It really was a wonderful night and I woke up this morning with a ridiculously sore head!
I think the following picture says it all really!

Love, Holl
