REVIEW: W7 'Double Up' volumizing mascara

"For beautiful eyes look for the good in others"
Audrey Hepburn

- I have not had much luck when it comes to finding the perfect mascara.
Too clumpy? Too dry? Too wet?
I have quite long eyelashes paired with really small eyes so I cannot really get away without wearing any mascara on my eyes at all.
With this in mind, I would say that mascara is an absolute necessity.
A few months ago I bought a mascara from the discounted beauty store Xtras..
(Which can I just ask, is there an Xtras in Liverpool?)
I have always had good experiences with W7 products, they appear to be good quality for a heavily discounted price.
I know that their nail varnishes are often great dupes for OPI and their other beauty items are great dupes of Rimmel products.

The W7 'Double Up waterproof, volume mascara' immediatly caught my eye with it's striking barrel and £2 price tag.

This mascara is one of those 2 step wonders with a single wand that slots nicely between a larger wand to create one super chunky volumizing brush.

The mascara applied.
Step one

The mascara applied with the thicker wand.
Step  two

Have you ever tried a 2 step mascara?
What are your thoughts?
I found myself that you have to be careful with the thicker brush as it can cause your lashes to become a little clumpy and spidery…however, a little comb through with the thinner brush or a spooly soon seperates your lovely long, voluminious lashes!
I shall definitley be purchasing this mascara again, I like the way it looks and I like the price, you can't really ask for more than that?

  4. This is amazing, it looks like a dupe for my Bourjois two step one (which is 10.49!!). I definitely think two steps are the way forward. Hope uni is going well hun. Xxx

  5. I'm not a fan. I find the second step has too Mich mascara but I use the first step to apply a light layer before using another mascara x
