A clear

- Origins has never been a brand that I have tried, tested or bought before which is interesting given the current hype over the Origins products in the beauty bloggersphere!
I was gifted the Clear Improvement  "active charcoal mask to clear pores" for my birthday by my lovely friend Lauren and I was highly interested in seeing how the brand fared with my skin.

This product is great for people with combination/oily skin types as it is intended to draw out the impurities within the skin that clog our pores and causes pesky outbreaks!

Origins say..
"Active charcoal acts like a magnet to draw out deep dwelling pore-cloggers. White china clay absorbs environmental toxins. Lechithin dissolves impurities without all that stuff down there, skin breathe a sigh of relief."

My skin has been a little unpredictable this week, with a few breakouts here and there, so I figuired there was no time like the present to give it a whirl..

The mask itself is intended for weekly use or for whenever you need it.
I have used it on three occasions now and I have seen my break out areas dramatically reduce in swelling and redness.

The product itself is quite think in consistency and smells rather distincly of play dough..a smell that as a kid I used to LOVE so this was always going to be a pleasurable product trialling experience.

The clay takes around 10-15 minutes to set hard on your face..this is a perfect product to dab on whilst you're having a bath. I must admit you do look a little like a sea monster whilst sporting the green, cracked look.

My skin was left super soft and thoroughly cleansed after using this product and the pores on and around my nose were considerably reduced.
It has also kept any excess oil away from my face for a good 3 to 4 days now.
I have found that living in a big city has caused me to have to deal with the dreaded blackheads..any that I did have (usually around my nose) have since cleared and I do think that this product helped in 'the big clean up' so to speak.

Have you ever tried this mask?
What did you think?
Love, Holl
