THE BEAUTY CHRONICLE: GLOSSYBOX, MARCH 2013

The City Chic Edition

I am the ultimate girl about town wannabe.
For the past 2 years, but more so recently, I have been working so hard with both this very blog you are reading now and my university degree in journalism to try and get myself into to the city to be one of those
city girl types
Whether it happens or not I believe is 1 part hard graft and 1 part luck.

Anyway...

I was delighted to be welcomed home yesterday night
by a rather familiar looking, pink box.
Yes that's right it is March's Glossybox edition.

The 'Get City Chic' Glossybox

I have to say I was a little bit excited about this months box.
All for superficial reasons, obviously.

"Dear Glossies, this months box is all about city chic - that glossy groomed look city girls miraculously manage to maintain from boardroom to barstool.
To help you perfect the look, we tried and tested until we found the hardest-working multi tasking heavy duty products that give you a high maintenance look with minimum time, money and effort spent. For the ultimate in cosmopolitan chic, every urban warrior needs these essentials in her arsenal."

Inside the box…

Elizabeth Arden
*Eight Hour Cream*
"A tried and tested classic, this is every girl on the go's must have staple.
Created in 1930 by Elizabeth Arden to soothe and protect your skin. Eight hour cream skin protectant was an instant success and has bcen one of the UK beauty editor's favourite products for the past 7 years."

Nails Inc
*Bruton Street*
"Bruton Street - nestled in the middle of London's Mayfair and home to the likes of Stella Mccartney, Matthew Williamson, upmarket restaurant Hakksan, antique dealers and contemporary art galleries. In short: Sophisticated with more than a touch of glamour, a dusky pink nude shade that is perfect for a cosmopolitam everyday look."

*This polish also shares its name with Grazia editor, Jane Bruton ;)

Jelly Pong Pong Cosmetics
*Lip Blush*
"Want to make a bold statement? A juicy lip stain and moisturiser in one."
- A definate Clinque 'Chubby Stick' dupe!
It applies so smoothly and is super durable, I wore it to the Fabb Bloggers Leeds Meet-up and it lasted all day!

Lo'ccitane
*En Provence*
"No matter how much you protect your face and neck with luxury skincare and SPF, it's your hands that will give you away with age spots and wrinkles.
A non oily lotion that firms and smoothes the skin, reduces the apperance of age spots and protects against UV damage. This is a must have for every woman irrespective of her age."

Tresemme
"Salon finish hair extra hold hair spray"
"Tired of creating salon worthy hair that doesn't last throughout your busy day?
This hero hairspray provides all day flexible control, it is humidity resistant and brushes out with ease."

- Also included in the box is this cute
My little travelling book

It is filled with the best sights to see in cities around the world.
It also includes some pretty cute stickers!

I was rather impressed with this months box, I found the products interesting and extremley
useable.
The past Glossyboxes have definately rekindled my love for the brand and concept.
What did you think to this months box?

  1. I'm pleased you liked your box. I got a similar box but I don't really like what I got. I don't think I'll be using any of the products...
