THE GLOSSYBOX CHRONICLE: APRIL 2013

The Spring Fever with

Peal Lowe

- Ah Glossybox, you have done it again!
And by it I mean that you have done yourselves proud.
 All hail another monthly banger…

April 2013, the *Spring Fever* box

This month Glossybox have teamed up with the ever glamourous Peal Lowe
who has designed the absolutely stunning box inspired by her love of all things vintage.

Immediate winner in my eyes non?

Peal Lowe:
"I hope you enjoy your limited edition Glossybox, inspried by my love of all
things vintage and floral.
I absolutely love the concept of deconstructing an established concept (like florals) and puting
a unique twist on it."

Inside the box this month….

Essie Nail Lacquer
£7.99 (diffusion line available at Boots)
*Nice is Nice*

- I couldn't believe my eyes when I saw a full sized, Essie polish in my box.
Especially given that it is in one my favourite nail shades ever
lilac.
This gorgeous, pastal lilac is perfect for the spring season.
Essie polishes apply so nicely and resisted chipping for 4 days.
This neutral lilac is the perfect shade for this season.

Nip + Fab 'Dry Skin Fix'
£9.95
*Pistachio Sundae*

- I have never smelt anything as amazingly scented in my entire life!
It is one of the products you just want to eat.
Even my dad, who is the least beautycentric wanted a piece of this deliciously scented body butter.
With body moisture boosting Aquaxyl as an ingredient, the skin's water reserves which improves the appearance of your skin.
This is an ultra hydrating product and the scent it leaves on your skin smells divine and lingers for hours.

Model Co 'Cheek + Lip Tint
£15
*Rosey Red*

-Apprently back in the day (according to my dad) this product would have been
called a rouge.
I am all for lip and cheek combo products.
Upon first application this blood red product is a little bit scary, but once
it is blended it results in a deep pink shade.
I find it a little too sticky to use on my cheeks but it perfect for adding a pop
of colour to your lips.

Yves Rocher Eau de Parfume
£44 for 50ml
*So Elixr Purple*

- I believe this little sample pot is forward thinking when it comes to a perfume tester.
It is a miniture version of the real thing.
Instead of being cast into the deep depths of our handbags, this little bottle is something
to add to our perfume shelf.
The scent is extremely floral, it is definately a summer scent.
I usually go for a more deeper scent but for an everyday spritz it is not bad at all.

Sunsense
£18.50 for 75g
*Daily Face SPF 50*

- This sun block would be perfect for anybody headed for the ski season as its high SPF
protects the skin from the winter sun.
I will be taking this on holiday with me to protect my face from sun damage and
premature aging.
As I am extremley fair, such a high factor is perfect for me.
It is oil free which is great for people like me who have oily/combination skin.

Overall..
I am suitably impressed with this months box, all of the products will be put to
good use, I am particularly excited about the Nip + Fab body butter.
I think a full size repurchase may be on the cards!

  3. Yours is slightly different from mine. I got an Illamsqua eyeliner and a Crabtree & Evelyn hand cream instead. Hope you're as happy with yours as I am with mine :) http://newwithhashtags.co.uk/glossybox-april-2013/#more-1259

  4. I got exactly the same products as you - am not as much in love with the Pistachio scented body butter or even the perfume sample (it smells of nothing to me!). But the nail polish is great, and the sun scent product is actually perfect because I'm off on holiday soon.

Could you post some more information about the leaflet? My box arrived without one!!
