THE BEAUTY CHRONICLE: LAUREN'S WAY MOUSSE

Darker Than Dark

- The beautiful, spring weather that we have been treated to recently has caused me to reach for the bottle.
With a wardrobe containing dresses, shorts and skirts it seemed ridiculous to not
bronze my pins to make me look a little less Casper-esc.

A few months ago I reviewed the

I was thoroughly impressed with the quality of the tan
and I was particually impressed with the spray application.

Lauren's Way tan has recieved mainly positive reviews from
newbies to false tan to die hard veterans.

Created by TOWIE's Lauren Goodger, it is very easy to
wonder if her false tan range is a one way ticket to orange tantasticness.

This week I have been trying out the
Lauren's Way 'Self Tanning Bronzing Mousse'

Shade: Darker Than Dark

The first false tan that I used was the St Moriz mousse in medium and I enjoyed working with the
mousse formula.
It has however been some time since I have dabbled with mousse.

What I thought..

I applied the mousse a tanning mit and got to work.
I was intially very shocked to see how green the tan was upon contact with my skin.
My tanning mitten also developed a shade of moss green.
I do believe this is an olive toned tan as opposed to a red toned tan.
The latter suiting my skin tone better.

PS. Please excuse the 'bum knee's' :-)

I am not afraid to try out a deep, dark tan and I was interested to see
how it looked on my sheer, white skin.

This tan is messy and is best applied before bed to be showered off the next morning
as it stains your skin, making you look dirty.
The standard fake tan aroma appears after 40 minutes or so on the skin and the colour starts to develop within 5 minutes.

Having showered off the base colour I was left with a dark tan, in some places
e.g my calves the colour hadn't taken to well, but in other place such as my arms and upper body the colour was intense.

The biscuity scent lasted for another day and took a second shower
to be rid of it.
I feel that this tan is much more suitable for people with paler skintones after a second shower
as I found I was crazy tan in odd places after one shower.

At almost twenty quid, this is a pricey tan, I personally feel you can find a equally effective or better tan for much cheaper on the high street.

Have you ever tried the 'Darker than Dark' tan?
Love, Holl
