THE HAIR CARE CHRONICLE: MY HAIRCARE ROUTINE

Good Hair Day Missus?

My barnet undergoes some kind of change every month or so.
Whether it be colour or cut there is always something new going on around here.
After trying to rid myself of the red, it is now back with a vengence.
Yes, I slapped a bright red 'L'Oreal Preference dye on and had done with it.
I have finally accepted that I am a red head at heart.

This aside, hair that never has a cut and is over processed in colour need some serious
maintenance.

I have a few ways of going about this…

I am currently using the
YuKo
'Lock In'
Shampoo and treatment
It is designed to help prevent colour loss and treat coloured hair kindly.
I usually wash my hair every other day or every two days depending on how clean it is looking.
Having severly coloured hair causes it to be very dry which in turn makes it less greasy as the days go on.
On inbetween days I use a Batiste dry shampoo, whichever one I have in or more preferably the one for
dark hair which has a hint of colour to it.

Although I rarely use heat on my hair these days
(Why bother straightening when I have poker straight hair?)
I still use a heat protectent when I do.
I am currently using the
GHD
Straight and Smooth Spray

To avoid any uncomfortable combing I use a large, flat padle brush to smooth out
any tangles post wash.

Blow drying my hair has always been difficult for me to master.
In the mirror, hair dryer in one hand, barrell brush in the other..
It is just a nightmare.
I was so happy when I was introduced to this gadget.

With prongs to latch onto your hair, it is impossible to go wrong with this device when
it comes to blow drying.
You simply pop a section of your hair into the prongs, twist and dry!

As someone with limp, straight hair it is the perfect volumizer.
My blow drying saviour is from the online beauty gadgets store from makeup artist Eva Bodalska
The beauty gadgets are from Japan and the Far East and inspired by oriental traditions.
They have all been tried and tested by beauty industry professionals.

Once my hair is dry I take some scissors and have a little play with my fringe.
My finge grows super quickly so once a week it has a little trim to keep it out of my eyes.

I then dispense some hair oil through the ends of my hair, I have currently been using
the
Nuxe
Hule Prodigieuse
it smells absolutely gorgeous!

I  then take my top layers into sponge rollers to maintain some volume and to prevent my hair from falling flat.

My cute Strawberry, foam rollers are so easy to use.

Simply wrap your hair around the mould and secure with a kirby grip.
My strawberry rollers are also from B-Gadgets
I set them by spraying a little amount of the
Macadamia
Natural Oil Control Spray
And finally a spritz of the
Neil and Wolf
Super Shine Spray
which keeps my red colour looking vibrant and glossy!

A few kirby gribs later.. And Vola!

How do you care for your hair?
Love, Holl
