Summer time sale Shopping

- The end of July in retail always gives a nod to the sales and usually I am one to stay away from the chaos.
Last week my friend Charlotte and I decided to have a root around what was left of the summer sales to see if we could pick ourselves up a bargain or two, or three.

Ofcourse, I couldn't possible come home empty handed
so after fueling ourselves with a yummy jacket potato each, we headed to the shops...

And here is what I got...

The first stop was Primark and I always find myself temped by almost everything the store has to offer.
Oddly, in the middle of a heatwave I found myself purchasing leggings and a wool cardigan?!

Patterned Cardigan

I love the idea of throwing this super soft cardigan on in the autumn with leggings.
It is perfect for when the weather isn't quite cold enough for a jacket but not warm enough for a t-shirt on wore on its own.
I love the colours and the print of this super snuggly cardigan.
The sizing is a little off with this garment but it definately depends how loose you like your knitwear.
I opted for an extra small as it sits comfortably around me,
The cardigan had no buttons and just drapes effortlessly around you.

Indian Print Leggings

It was the adorable elephant, patterned print that attracted me to these leggings.

They are made of a stretchy, lycra material and have an elastic waistband meaning they feel really substancial when you wear them.
They sit nicely upon your ankle cling tightly to your legs.
I figuired that with a plain black T-shirt, the leggings would look nice with the cardigan above.

- Charlotte and I then headed into Miss Selfridge, a shop that may well be holding my new winter coat.. but at £65 we will leave that for another day.
I love the jewellery in Miss Selfridge but I find that it is seriously pricey and I would never pay £20 or more for a statement necklace.
Jewellery was however on sale.

Silver and Gold Rope Effect Necklace
Was £14.00 - Down to £3.50

I have seen this style of necklace knocking around on blogs and on Youtube video's for quite some time now.
I have never really been interested in the hype before but this necklace really caught my eye.
I love that it sits nicely upon your collarbone and looks quite ethnic and durable.

Long Pendant Chain
Was £20.00 - Down to £3.50

You know when you just have to buy something? Well I had that feeling with this necklace
as I have been looking for a new, longer chained necklace for some time.
I love the tiered format and the colours used within the piece that make it look somewhat tribal.
Ofcourse, it was a steal for the price.

Set of 12 mix and match earrings
Was £7.50 - Down to £2.50

I have such a thing for miss match earrings so when I spotted these I was really taken with the different styles in the pack.
I have my ears pierced five times so I am looking forward to mixing and matching the studs.

The whole lot came to £7.25 with student discount.

- Finally, after a visit to many other stores including Superdrug, Topshop and Zara we stumbled upon River Island.
I don't tend to shop in River Island as I find the clothes styles are often something that would have suited me when I was around 14/15/16 years old.
(Back then I was crazy for the store)
But we decided to head in and I came across a bag.
Now, I know, I know, I know
I should not be buying any more bags but

Isn't it gorgeous?
This bag was in the not quite perfect section as some of the embellishment had come loose.
(Nothing a needle and thread can't sort!)
So the bag was reduced from £35 to £25
It is super heavy due to all of the embelishment but my goodness it is a stunner.
River Island, you served me well.

And there we have it, a haul for you!
Now my debit card is going back into hibernation untill Christmas!
