THE HAIR CARE CHRONICLE: HAIR ROUTINE

Updated: Everyday Hair

Care Routine

- My mother was absolutely right when she said: "Long hair is hard work."

As a child I always had super long hair that grew right down to my lower back.
For some reason when I was 15 I cut it all off, super short style and I have been doing my best to grow it back long ever since.

My hair currently sits above my bra strap and is fairly thick…and damaged.

Over time I have discovered hair products that work effectively in keeping my hair unde wraps.

- I am currently using the
'Colour Reviatalise' shampoo and conditoner from TRESemme'
which are products that help protect coloured hair from fading.
As an un-natural red head I tend to go for fade protection products as my hair rarely looks ravishing and red for long.

The shampoo is non greasy and the conditoner is super nourishing.

I bought both of these 900ml products for £4 at Wilko's which is my eyes is an absolute bargain!
I then decanter the products into Ickle Bockles that fit neatly into my shower tray.

- Before drying my hair I use the Derma v10 Heat Guard which you can pick up from Bodycare for a barginous 99p!

This heat defence spray has been a staple amongst my haircare products for years and prevents my hair from frying under the heat of my hair dryer.

- I have also been loving the AVEDA Color Conserve balm, a product that seals in hair color to protect it from fadage for up to six weeks!

Again, a favourite of mine as it contains UV protection and rubs into damp hair without leaving it feeling greasy.

- Once my hair is dry I distrubute some of the Indola Glamour Precious Oil to the ends of my hair which are parts that tend to be dryer and much more brittle.

The oil helps to keep moisture locked in.

Finally, to keep my colour vibrant I spay some of the Clynol Colour and Care shimmer spray through

damp or dry hair to give my red some dimention.

How do you care for your hair weekly?
