Clockwise from the top: Rimmel Moisture Renew in '880 Rose Passion'
Elizabeth Arden 'Brick' | MUA Lipstick in 'Shade 8 | MAC Matte Lipstick in 'Ruby Woo'

Colour by colour I have been introducing you all to my lipstick collection.
You can see my pick of the pinks [HERE].
Today is all about the reds, a colour that I have been wearing on my lips more and more since lightening my hair at the start of the year.

The Easy Red: The Rimmel Moisture Renew lipsticks have to be my favourite   drugstore lipsticks. They are so comfortable to wear and leave a glossy, moisturising finish on the lips.
My favourite red from the line is 880 'Rose Passion'. It is a super easy red to wear and looks beautiful against both paler and darker complexions. The colour itself is a pink toned ruby red which looks especially nice with a pink cheek and simple eyeliner.

The Replaceable Red: If you are looking for a red lipstick that can be easily replaced then you cannot go wrong with the MUA lipsticks which retail for just £1 at Superdrug! My favourite red from their collection is Shade 8which is a plummy, deep red with tiny gold flecks. I would say that this is a winter shade due to the way it falls slightly on the berry tone sprectrum.

The Matte Red: Ruby Woo by MAC is iconic, known for its ultra, ultra matte formulation it can be a hit or a miss depending on who you ask. I personally love it, the red itself is a deep, pinky toned red. The lipstick itself takes a little work to blend nicely onto the lip. I like to prime my lips with a lip balm before applying the lipstick with a precision lip brush, by doing it this way I find that the lipstick is much more comfortable to wear on the lips.

The Brown Red: I found myself falling in love with Brick by Elizabeth Arden after my aunt introduced me to it last summer. The shade itself is a beautiful brown toned, pink-red. It is deep and luxurious not to mention ultra moisturising and glossy on the lips.

What are you favourite red lipsticks?
