Instead of a being a standard GGMH, food filled week, The Week #33 saw me pack in
 some 'cultural' activities.

On Thursday evening a friend and I found ourselves in the Victoria Palace Theatre watching the stage production of Billy Elliot.
The film is one of my favourites so I was excited to see how the script would be brought to life on the stage. First and foremost, the ballet in it is absolutely amazing and in some parts momentarily breath taking. The show on the whole was fantastic with some tear-jerking scenes followed by lots of north eastern humour. I would really recommend it if you were thinking of going to see a West End show.
It's a must see if you like the film but want to see an even better
adaptation.

I also visited one of my favourite London museums, The Victoria and Albert, I really wanted to see the wedding dresses collection.
I love the V and A for its fashion history and sad as this may sound the gift shop is really valuable to remember if you want to buy somebody a pretty present for any occasion.
I particularly like their printed notebooks.

Yesterday I spent the day dressed as a pirate (read: Keith Richards) cruising down the River Thames for six hours. There was a copious amount of alcohol, crazy costumes and good laughs - although I am still finding myself feeling like i'm rocking on a boat, even this morning!
It wouldn't be far wrong to say my head is rocking too.

Before I sign off for the weekend, you may have noticed a few changes around here.
I had a spot of re-decorating and although it's not exactly how I want it yet, I hope you like the new 'striped' phase of GGMH.
If you have been reading for a while you will have seen a fair few changes but I am convinced that a much simpler design is the way forward.
Let me know your thoughts.

Until next week.
