I've turned into one of those women that I never thought that I would. Somebody with a basic, staple wardrobe. Since last year and numerous house/flat moves later I have managed to condense my clothing collection into something manageable and easy to root through.
Last week I headed into Primark to discover that they had my favourite vest tops back in store. They are made of heavy material and have a cut out back which looks gorgeous layered over a bikini on holiday as well as when paired with demin shorts.
Following my £14 splurge on vest tops, I found the perfect cardigan in H+M for when you want something around your shoulders but not the thickness of a jumper. The lightweight, grey cardigan was a steal at £4 and I have been layering it underneath my leather jacket, paired with black skinny jeans.
The last item on my basics list was a summer friendly black dress - and that is exactly what I found in Zara. The high necked, swing dress is from the Zara basics collection and is on sale for £14.99. I wore it for all of one day as a dress, bunged it in the wash and now it's more like a long top. I wear it with a midi skirt or layered with jeans and sandals.
