MONTHLY FAVOURITES: DECEMBER 2015

The end of December? How can it be? It seems like two minutes since I was writing up my January 2015 favourites and completing a really crap internship with a PR firm (Using that term loosely) in Manchester. In 12 months my beauty interests haven't really adapted as much as they have in previous years. Beauty these days for me is more about things I know I like as opposed to collecting everything and never getting through it all.

Face: A few years ago, if you'd have said to me 'sheer coverage' i'd have run a mile. For me, it was all about the heavy, matte coverage achieved from non other than the infamous 'Dream Matte Mousse.' (ha) As I hit my 20s (weird) I have begun to enjoy lighter foundations, maybe it's my skin finally realising i'm no longer 14? Who knows, but I have been rocking the Lacura Beauty 'CC Cream' a colour correcting formula with a light to medium, build-able coverage. It contains that all important SPF and conceals skin imperfections in a jiffy.

Eyes: Probably the most fun eyeshadow palette that I own, the MUA 'Going for gold' palette has been a firm favourite over the festive period. It's the perfect companion for creating a 70s eye make-up look and the shadows are incredibly buttery and pigmented. There's a lovely contrast between light and dark shades to create seriously smokey and bright, bold eye make-up looks.

Body:You can't enjoy a true festive party look without sparkle right? I have been loving 'The Sparkler' from The Bodyshop which is a cult product to add a little shimmer to your hair and body. I have the gold edition and whilst the packaging has been updated this year, the product is still the same and looks pretty cute on your dressing table too.

Nails: If you're a regular reader you'll know that I harped on about the Alice and Olivia for Nails Inc collection that I love. My favourite shade of the collection is 'Ruby night sky' an alluring deep burgundy shade that looks black on the nails. The brush is pretty awesome too, with a wide span so that teeny nails like mine are covered in an instant.
