STYLE: LATE SUMMER ZARA HAUL

My penchant for a good old shopping trip has returned!
After a few months of not feeling particularly inspired by the clothes in my favourite haunts such as Topshop and Zara, as well as not feeling very happy in myself, shopping took a back seat which is probably a good thing for my bank account, but also very sad.
I recently headed into Zara to see what transitional pieces they have for this late Summer, early Autumn period and I wasn’t disappointed. There’s an urban vibe going on at the moment, lots of clean lines teamed with patterns and I love it. I’ve been after a satin bomber jacket for a while now and I was waiting for the right one to take my fancy. The floral number is exactly what i’ve been looking for, it’s lightweight, not too street and bold. I like to wear it with a plain black tee, ripped skinny jeans and a pair of Vans.
Next up in the jacket department is a very ‘me’ jacket that I bought as a little congratulations to myself for hitting a new milestone at work. In terms of fit, it’s a cropped ‘biker jacket’ style that sits at my waist and of course is ridiculously wild in print…It reminds me of something Kate Moss has sported and it looks so good with skinny jeans and those ridiculously sassy pointed flats. I spotted those babies hiding behind the leather jacket rack and I knew I just had to have ’em. They remind me somewhat of the Valentino ‘rock studs’ with the multiple straps…The only issue, they absolutely rip my feet to shreds, but I will persist!
Finally, I have been totally diggin’ on neckties and so I found this spotty little number and have been working it with my everyday outfits ever since. I think a little interest around your neck whether it’s a statement necklace or a plain choker is the way forward, and a massive trend right now.
Which piece is your favourite?
