3 To Try From The Body Shop // My Favourite Body Shop Products

Ever since I was a small child walking through The Riding Shopping centre on a busy Saturday shopping day, I was always captivated by the alluring scent of a magical dark green shop. This was way before Lush dominated our nostrils on the high street. The was The Body Shop.

I've always had a soft spot for The Body Shop and their fruity animal soaps and their strawberry body butter which my friend bought me every year for my birthday. I have come to appreciate the brand even more so, now that they are no longer owned by L'Oreal and have been taken over by Natura+Co, a global cosmetics group (who also parent Aesop) committed to cruelty-free beauty and ethical business.

Today I'm sharing a few new bits that I've recently bought from The Body Shop. I really rate them all and definitely recommend them if you're looking to invest in some new beauty bits from The Body Shop.

The Body Shop Shine Lip Liquid - Lip Gloss In 'Sugar Glaze' - £7

I've been looking for a clear(ish), non-sticky lip gloss for ages now, so I was pretty chuffed when I found the Shine Lip Liquid collection which includes a variety of shades. I chose 'Sugar Glaze' a pinky-clear-nude that looks like the icing you get on the original Krispy Kreme doughnuts.

The weightless, high shine and most importantly non-sticky formulation glides onto your lips all thanks to the enriching ingredients, jojoba oil as well as marula oil and argan oil. This product has the extra something, something that I wanted from Glossier's 'Birthday Cake' Balm Dot Com

The Body Shop Lip + Cheek Stain in 'Red Pomegranate' - £8

Is anybody else obsessed with Matilda on Youtube? Matilda, who has a very similar pale complexion to me frequently recommends bold red lip and cheek stains, and despite them looking a little scary when first applied (especially on the cheeks) I thought I'd give a bright red lip and cheek duo stain a try on Matilda's recommendation.

Wearing Red Pomegranate on my eyes and cheeks here!

I was NOT disappointed, in fact, I am wowed! Introducing the lip and cheek stain in the shade 'Red Pomegranate' has been revolutionary to my makeup routine. The non-drying, buildable formulation applies evenly and gives you plenty of time to work with the product. In the picture above I'm wearing the stain on my lips, cheeks and eyes and I love the uniform rosy glow. And if that wasn't good enough, apparently, the English rose Emma Watson also loves the product too!

The Body Shop Tea Tree Oil £8.50 for 10ml - £12.00 for 20ml

An oldie, but a goodie, I haven't had the iconic tea tree oil in my skincare routine for a while, though I was prompted to buy it again following an extremely adverse reaction to some eyebrow threading. No word of a lie, two days after the threading experience, my entire forehead erupted into painful cystic acne and this was WITH me using my aloe vera (This normally helps prevent such irritations).

It was a right old mess. And so my hairdresser recommended using Tea Tree Oil after the procedure. I haven't had the chance to use it after an eyebrow treatment yet, but I did use it on the breakouts I had and they reduced in size and redness after just one application. Amazing stuff!
