I’m all about getting that glow atm – Then again, who isn’t? It’s in recent years that I’ve come to understand that on my eyes and lips, I suit a more matte finish, however, when it comes to my base – I love a more glowy vibe. In my humble opinion, it just makes me look healthier – Though some may argue, glowy and ‘sweaty’ could be one and the same.

I’ve recently been trying out two new primers and I love them both in equal measures – I think you will too, which is why I’m talking about them here today.

Face By Skinny Tan – Superglow Highlighting Serum – £9.99

Cor, I love this stuff. The Superglow Highlighting Serum* is a lightweight, highlighting fluid that is intended to add a subtle luminosity to your skin. I apply this both underneath and over the top of my base as I find, whichever way you use it, it is effective in achieving a lit-from-within glow.

When I’m wearing it on top of the skin, I apply it to my cheekbones and pat it down my nose also. The formula is lightweight and not in any way sticky – It smells really good too (Like holiday’s) all thanks to natural ingredients including Aloe Vera and Guarana. The Superglow Highlighting Serum is made from 93% naturally derived ingredients and has not been tested on animals. It’s also free from parabens, sulfates and drying chemicals. Win, win!

Maybelline – Master Primer – £8.99

And now to another fantastic primer that has fast become one of my absolute favourite base products.
Though I must make it apparent, I have the US version of this producthowever, I’ve tried it out against the UK version and the results are exactly the same (albeit the formulation being slightly different as the US version has a built-in SPF – which I wish the UK version did!).

The Master Primer offers a non-greasy, smooth and moisturising application that ensures your makeup glides on beautifully whether you’re following up with a liquid foundation, or a mineral foundation. But what makes this an even nicer product, is how glowy it makes your skin look post-application. I like to warm the product on my fingers, before blending all over the face.
