Some time ago back in 2010, I clicked publish on my first ever blog post, back then, blogging as we know it today was a relatively new thing. I started out with the hope that ‘Good Golly Miss Hollie‘ would offer me a better chance of securing a place at university to study journalism. I guess it did the trick, as I went on to graduate with a degree in journalism and bag a great writing job a few years later. Over the years, Good Golly Miss Hollie has made way for some incredible opportunities, including the unimaginable such as a column in Grazia magazine!
The whole experience has been an adventure. And though the blogging / influencer industry has now become unrecognisable to how it looked over 10 years ago, it really does still amaze me that I am still here a decade later writing about fluffy stuff such as the beauty products I’m coveting, as well as more topical content about work and mental health.
Hi, I’m Hollie
I’m 26 years young, a through and through Sagittarius with a love for cats, wildflowers and Yorkshire tea. Originally hailing from a small city in West Yorkshire called Wakefield, I now live in Liverpool where i’m Head Of Digital Delivery within a web/app design and development agency.
Back in 2015, I delved into the ‘other side’ of the blogging industry, specialising in content and influencer marketing. With that in mind, it may also be useful for you to know that I also offer freelance content marketing and influencer marketing consultancy in Liverpool.

In my spare time, I volunteer for The Girls’ Network charity as a mentor. My mentoring work supports young women aged 14-19 helping to empower them to be the best that they can be and achieve their goals. I am also currently training to become a dual counsellor for Childine.
Amongst house plants, bright lipstick and 1980s pop culture, I’m often found filling the house that I share with my boyfriend Adam, serengeti cat Alf and hamster Muffin with antiques and lots and lots of colour.
What else would you like to know about me?
Well, my favourite book is Shantaram, my favourite film is T2 Trainspotting and I’m a die-hard Princess Diana fan. My music taste is anything from the 80s, though my favourites include: The Smiths, Oasis, The Cult, Tears for Fears, The Cure, George Michael and Sade to name but a few.
I chain brew Yorkshire tea though my favourite alcoholic tipple is Campari and lemonade and I am happiest when I have an ocean breeze in my hair and the sun on my back.
Over the last 10 years, I have worked alongside many brands and agencies to create high-quality collaborative content. Known for my honest approach and unique tone, Good Golly Miss Hollie is a dedicated space where I can provide:
* Gifted product reviews
